Simple in Black & White
It's been a while since I did an outfit post. Sometimes, you just don't feel inspired, ya know? After all, an outfit post is supposed to showcase a chic and stylish you. Perhaps one where you're pushing the envelope in terms of fashion. Or wearing something funky or unexpected but somehow, it works. Unfortunately, I don't belong in the category of true fashionistas. The blog has definitely helped me think about going with looks and styles that I wouldn't have considered in the past. But I wouldn't say I experiment very much or take much fashion risks. If you look through my outfit posts, you'll notice that I'm not trying to break any fashion boundaries. I'm just documenting regular, everyday style that looks put together. I'm drawn to simple yet elegant cuts and the same can be said for my fashion sense. Whether it's stripes, prints, bold or monochromatic colors, or eye-catching baubles, I've realized I like to have just one piece of the whole look be the statement maker. What I don't like is overdoing it and having several things competing for attention. Case in point: my look here. The star of the show is this simple black and white dress with interesting details - the box cut on the sleeves, the folds of the fabric, and the faux leather trim. The matching purse, the colorful arm party, and the grey suede pumps are just the supporting cast. :)
How would you describe your personal style?

Gorgeous outfit- simple but far from boring or ordinary. Simple is often harder to do well than complicated, and you accomplish that beautifully here.
